Players of the Week - No. 6
Dadson recorded a hat trick in a 7-1 win over Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference rival Trinity International (Ill.) on Oct. 5. The sophomore forward netted a pair of goals, including the game-winning goal, and assisted on two others in a 6-0 blanking of Cardinal Stritch (Wis.) on Oct. 8. Behind her offensive showing, the 20th-ranked Eagles improved to 9-2-1.
Dadson, a native of Cape Coast, Ghana, is listed among the nation's top 10 in four statistical categories: fourth in total goals (15), fifth in points per game (3.0) and seventh in goals per game (1.25) and total points (36).
Gallego made 13 saves in a pair of shutout road victories in Red River Athletic Conference play as the Rams defeated Northwood (Texas), 2-0, and LSU Shreveport (La.), 1-0. The junior keeper denied eight goal attempts against Northwood on Oct. 6 and followed with five denials versus the Lady Pilots to push Texas Wesleyan's record to 12-3 overall and 4-2 in league play.
Hailing from Mansfield, Texas, Gallego has eight shutouts to her credit and has guided the Rams to nine blankings this season, which ranks first nationally.
The next Players of the Week announcement will be on Oct. 18.
