
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced the 2012 Rawlings-NAIA Baseball Gold Glove Team, as selected by the NAIA-American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) All-America Selection Committee. A total of nine players were selected based upon their defensive success. This is the sixth year the NAIA Gold Glove Team has been chosen.
Oklahoma City's Chad Carman, a senior catcher from Midwest City, Okla., is the only returner from last year's Gold Glove squad. He finished the season with 296 putouts, 40 assists and only three errors.
Siena Heights (Mich.) was the only program to land multiple Gold Glove selections, as shortstop Cory Lehman and pitcher Corey Alexander received the honor.
