50 in the running ....

All student-athletes at these schools have completed the course as of FEB 28:

Tips on how they made it happen...

Central Methodist -  Reserved a large computer lab on campus over a three day period with 1 hour windows and had each of our teams sign up for a time slot to compete the training. We had head phones and boom before you know it 99% of our athletes we're complete.

Olivet Nazarene – Our AD set the tone this fall with our first athletic department staff meeting and then with our athlete welcoming meeting. Champions of Character is always on the agenda! As the liaison all I had to do was make it available to all of our head coaches and ask to see how many of the teams could be 100%.

Concordia (Calif) —  I sent an email to all coaches to have the student/athletes participate in the LIVE 5 training.  My athletic director then supported the push to have all the student/athletes do it.  We were very successful with ALL our student/athletes and coaches.

Lindsey Wilson - We forwarded the flyer  to all of our coaches and asked them to have their student-athletes complete the course.  We included instructions on how to register and fill out the registration page.  The coaches who were most effective in getting full participation in a timely manner were those who reserved computer lab times for their student-athletes to complete the course as a team.

University of the Cumberlands – We presented the entire program to the coaches in our weekly Athletic Department meeting.  We asked each coach to set aside a time to have their team go through the online training.  As each team completed the training, the coach of that sport reported back to me.  We gave the coaches a deadline.  Most teams have designated study times throughout the week and I think some used that time to complete the online course.

Indiana Tech - As a Department of Athletics, we announced to all Head Coaches the importance of the training.  The A.D. was instrumental in communicating the emphasis and urgency of the training.  Our CoC coordinator was also the “point  person” for collecting all the Live 5 training correspondence and communication to other coaches.  We instituted a deadline of Oct. 25th, 2013 for ALL Coaches to get their S-A’s through the online training.
