Division I Men's Player of the Week
Tougaloo (Miss.) forward Darius Simmons was named NAIA Division I Men's Basketball Player of the Week after helping Tougaloo to wins over LSU-Shreveport and Belhaven (Miss.) last week. Simmons averaged 24.5 points and 11.0 rebounds per game in the 2-0 stretch.
Simmons started the week with 19 points and 10 rebounds in the win over LSU-S, also dishing out four assists and finishing the game 7-of-12 from the floor. Simmons also connected on all three of his free throws in the game, while hitting 2-of-4 from outside the arc.
In the team's second game, Simmons went for 30 points and 12 rebounds in a 14-point win over Belhaven (Miss.), also hitting 10-of-24 from the floor and 5-of-8 from the foul line. Against Belhaven, Simmons was 5-of-12 from outside the 3-point arc, finishing the game with three steals, three assists and a blocked shot.

Division I Women's Player of the Week
California Baptist guard Nicole Davis was named NAIA Division I Women's Basketball Player of the Week after leading the Lancers to a pair of wins last week, including one over nationally ranked Azusa Pacific (Calif.). She averaged 28.5 points and 9.5 assists per game during the week.
Davis opened the week with 26 points and six rebounds to go with nine assists against San Diego Christian, but her marquee game of the week would come against the ranked Cougars, as she posted a double-double with 31 points, 10 assists and 10 steals in a 13-of-21 shooting outing.
For the week, Davis piled up 19 assists and 12 steals, finishing the week 23-of-40 from the floor and 9-of-12 from the foul line. She also connected twice from outside the 3-point arc.
