ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced its Daktronics-NAIA Men’s Track and Field Scholar-Athlete recipients for the 2008-09 academic year. To be honored as a Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete, a student-athlete must hold junior or senior academic standing and have a minimum 3.5 grade-point average on a 4.0 scale.
In all, a total of 208 student-athletes have earned the award on the men’s side. There are 76 different NAIA institutions are represented on the Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete squad. Concordia University (Neb.) has the most individual representatives on the list with 11.
