Women’s Golfer of the Week – No. 5

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Jessica Schiele of Oklahoma City has been named NAIA National Women’s Golfer of the Week, the national office announced Wednesday. Schiele was selected based on her performances from April 8 – 14 and was chosen out of a pool of conference/independent/unaffiliated group golfer of the week selections.

Schiele, a senior from Grimsby, England, finished second in the Missouri-Kansas City Kangaroo Invitational at The Shoal Creek Golf Club April 8 – 9. Schiele rolled in 10 birdies in the three rounds and compiled rounds of 71-67-78 – 216 to finish two strokes. Schiele helped the Stars to a second place team finish, four strokes behind the winner NCAA Division I North Dakota State. The Stars finished ahead of seven NCAA Division I teams.

Schiele ranks first in the NAIA in average score (74.43), birdies (53), par 4 scoring (4.18) and second in lowest round this season (67) and par 3 scoring (3.08) this season.

The next Women’s Golfer of the Week will be announced on April 24.
