2017-18 Daktronics-NAIA Competitive Cheer & Dance Scholar-Athletes Announced

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced Friday that 86 competitive cheer and 58 dance student-athletes have been named 2017-18 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes.

For the sport of cheer, Graceland (Iowa) and Hastings (Neb.) lead all institutions with six individuals. Grand View (Iowa) is tops for dance programs sending seven individuals on the list.

In order to be nominated by an institution’s head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved junior academic status.
