KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Naomi Maehama of St. Thomas (Fla.) has been named the NAIA National Women's Tennis Player of the Week, the national office announced Wednesday. She was selected based on her performances from March 14 – 20 and was chosen out of a pool of conference, Association of Independent Institutions and unaffiliated group winners.

• Went a perfect 8-0 in singles and doubles on the week. Won her four singles matches and four doubles matches with teammate Cynthia Diaz.
• Helped her team to a 4-0 week, going 8-5 overall.
• Won8-4 against Top 25 ranked teams - No. 21 Southeastern (Fla.) and No. 22 SCAD Atlanta (Ga.) - in her doubles matches, as well as not losing a set in singles matches (6-3, 7-6/6-1, 7-6).
• This is her first career player of the week honor.
