Brown, a 5-foot-10 sophomore forward, posted five goals for 10 points in two victories last week. The native of Manchester, Jamaica, notched two scores in the 4-0 win over No. 12 Auburn Montgomery (Ala.) on Oct. 25. The match was a battle of the top-two teams in the Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC). The four goals allowed tied the highest amount given up by a Senator defense this year. Brown followed that effort with a hat trick in the 5-0 triumph over Spring Hill (Ala.) on Oct. 29. He ranks first in the NAIA in total goals (29) and total points (60).
Hartley, a 6-foot junior goalkeeper, allowed only one goal and made 12 saves in a pair of SSAC road victories last week. He finished with eight saves in the 3-0 victory at Faulkner (Ala.) on Oct. 25 and then compiled four saves in the 2-1 win at No. 7 William Carey (Miss.) on Oct. 29. Thanks to the efforts of Hartley, William Carey scored one goal for just the fourth time this season (in 17 matches). In the NAIA rankings, the native of Manchester, England, is sixth in goals against average (0.540).
The final Players of the Week announcement will be on Nov. 8.
