KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Naissim Ayadi of Mobile (Ala.) has been named the NAIA National Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week and Dennis Kramer of Southern Poly (Ga.) has been tabbed National Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week, the national office announced Tuesday. Ayadi and Kramer were selected based on their performances from Oct. 1 - 7 and were chosen out of a pool of conference/independent/unaffiliated groupings.
Ayadi, a 5-foot-9 sophomore midfielder from Paris, France, was an integral part in two Southern States Athletic Conference wins last week. He compiled nine points (three goals, three assists) overall. In the 6-2 win against No. 3 Auburn Montgomery (Ala.) on Oct. 3, he went for two goals and assisted on two others. The six-goal output for the Rams was the most allowed by Auburn Montgomery since the 2008 season. Three days later, Ayadi finished with one goal and one assist in Mobile's 6-1 victory over Faulkner (Ala.).
In national statistics, Ayadi ranks 19th in points per game (2.3) and 30th in points (23).
Kramer, a 6-foot-6 senior goalkeeper from Berlin, Germany, posted a shutout and limited the 17th-ranked team to one goal last week. He picked up the complete-game victory in the Hornets' 2-1 win over No. 17 Southern Wesleyan (S.C.) on Oct. 3 by tallying two saves. In the 3-0 win over Truett-McConnell (Ga.) on Oct. 6, he played nearly 78 minutes in combining on a shutout. He finished with one save in the contest.
Kramer ranks eighth in the NAIA in goals against average (0.640).
