NAIA Menís Soccer Players of the Week Ė No. 5 (Oct. 7)

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Humphrey Mahowa of The Master's (Calif.) has been named the NAIA National Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week and Shazz Heale of Midland (Neb.) has been named the NAIA National Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week, the National office announced Tuesday.

National Defensive Player of the Week
Shazz Heale of Midland (Neb.)
A 5-11 FR GK from Arvanda, Colo.

• Helped lead Midland (Neb.) to unbeaten week that included scoreless tie with No. 8 Hastings (Neb.) and 2-1 road overtime win at Morningside (Iowa).
• Allowed only one goal last week over a combined 210 minutes in net for the Warriors.
• Leads the Great Plains Athletic Conference and ranks eighth nationally with 63 saves so far this season.
• Has allowed one-or-fewer goals in nine games this season.
• Earns first career NAIA National Player of the Week honor.

National Offensive Player of the Week
Humphrey Mahowa of The Master’s (Calif.)
A 5-10 FR F from Lilongwe, Malawi

• Helped lead Mustangs to undefeated week with pair of wins over Golden State Athletic Conference opponents.
• Scored pair of goals, including eventual game-winner, in 4-3 win against William Jessup (Calif.).
• Netted a natural hat trick in 3-0 victory over San Diego Christian (Calif.).
• Ranks 12th in NAIA in game-winning goals with three and 24th in total goals with eight.
• Earns first career NAIA National Player of the Week honor.
