KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Lisa Tixier of Biola (Calif.) has been named the NAIA Women's Swimmer of the Month, the national office announced Wednesday. Tixier was selected for her performances from the beginning of the season up until Jan. 11. This is the first swimming honor of the 2014-15 season.

• Tixier – whose older sister, Christine, was last year’s NAIA Female Swimmer of the Year – has 13 individual first-place finishes, and has led the Eagles' relay teams to multiple victories already this season.
• The freshman’s 13 wins have come in just 19 events so far this fall.
• The Benton City, Wash., native has met national qualifying standards in 18 of her 19 times.
• This is Tixier’s first national award.
