2015 NAIA Women’s Golfer of the Week – No. 2 (April 1)

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Elsa Westin of Northwood (Fla.) has been named the NAIA National Women’s Golfer of the Week, the national office announced Wednesday. She was selected based on her performances from March 23 – 29 and was chosen out of a pool of conference, Association of Independent Institutions and unaffiliated group winners.

• Westin is soaring this spring after notching her third victory of the season at the Battle at the Primm at the Primm Valley Gulf Club on March 24 in Primm Valley, Nev.
• She led both days with rounds of 66 and 71 on the 5,938-yard, par-72 course.
• The freshman defeated 66 individual golfers en route to the win, helping her No. 1 Seahawks finish second out of 12 schools.
• The Bromma, Sweden, native takes home her first national recognition with today’s award.
