2015 NAIA Menís Golfer of the Week Ė No. 2 (April 1)

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Anthony Marchesani of Oklahoma City has been named the NAIA National Men’s Golfer of the Week, the national office announced Wednesday. He was selected based on his performances from March 23 – 29 and was chosen out of a pool of conference, Association of Independent Institutions and unaffiliated group winners.

• Marchesani shared the Battle at the Primm title to lead the Stars past the field by 21-strokes at Primm Valley Gulf Club on March 24 in Primm Valley, Nev.
• The junior from Rosebud, Victoria, Australia, shot a 71-68-67–206 to tie for the individual crown with his teammate Jamie Warman.
• The now top-ranked Stars shot a 282-282-271–835 on the par-72, 7,131-yard course to prevail over a group of 17 squads – 11 ranked teams – and 90 individual participants.
• He collects his first career national award.
