2015 NAIA Menís Golfer of the Week Ė No. 4 (April 15)

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Carlos Ardila of Southwestern Christian (Okla.) has been named the NAIA National Men’s Golfer of the Week, the national office announced Wednesday. He was selected based on his performances from April 6 – 12 and was chosen out of a pool of conference, Association of Independent Institutions and unaffiliated group winners.

Carlos Ardila, Southwestern Christian (Okla.)
Fr., Cucuta, Colombia

• Ardila claimed a one-shot victory in the Oklahoma Baptist Spring Invitational on April 6-7 after shooting a 5-under-par 137 at John Conrad Golf Course in Midwest City, Okla.
• He fired a final-round 68 on the 6,854-yard, par-72 club to win the individual title by one stroke over Thomas Holtzman of Oklahoma City.
• The freshman outlasted a field of 92 competitors from 16 teams en route to the title.
• The Cucuta, Colombia, native led the Eagles to a fourth-place finish as a team with a final score of 287-284-571 and finished four strokes behind tournament winner Oklahoma City.
