KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Alyssa Harmon of Northwest Christian (Ore.) has been named NAIA National Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week, the national office announced Wednesday. Harmon was selected for her performance from Sept. 28 – Oct. 4 and was selected out of a pool of conference/Association of Independent Institutions award winners.

Jr., Otis Orchards, Wash.
• Finished second out of 158 runners overall at the Charles Bowles Invitational in Salem, Ore.
• Led the then-No. 2 ranked beacons to a 61-point victory over No. 1 ranked British Columbia.
• Her 5k time 17:34 is a new school record and new personal best by 30 seconds.
• This is her first career NAIA Runner of the Week award.
