2015 NAIA Menís Soccer Player of the Week Ė No. 8 (Oct. 27)

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Pedro Amaral of Bethel (Ind.) and Brin Lapuh of Grand View (Iowa) have been named NAIA National Players of the Week, the national office announced Tuesday.  These two were selected based on their performance from Oct. 19 – 25 and were chosen out of a pool of conference player of the week selections.

National Offensive Player of the Week
Pedro Amaral, Bethel (Ind.)
Sr., F, Horizonte, Brazil

·Totaled four goals this week along with an assist to help the Pilots to two pivotal league wins to clinch home field advantage for the opening round of the league tournament.
·Recorded his second career hat-trick, netting three goals against Goshen (Ind.).
·Ranks No. 17 in goals with 14.
·Ranks No. 19 in points (34.0).
·This is his first career player of the week award.

National Defensive Player of the Week
Brin Lapuh, Grand View (Iowa)
So., GK, Ljubljana, Slovenia

·Recorded four saves in a 1-0 win over No. 15 Ashford (Iowa).
·Seven saves in a 2-1 win over Central Methodist (Mo.) for a total of 11 saves to help his team to a 2-0 week.
·Averages 5.50 saves a game for the week.
·This is his first career player of the week award.
