KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Rachel Bottorff of Indiana Wesleyan has been named the NAIA National Women's Tennis Player of the Week, the national office announced Wednesday. Bottorff was selected based on her performances from March 13 – 19 and was chosen out of a pool of conference, Association of Independent Institutions and unaffiliated group winners.

• In helping her Indiana Wesleyan team go 4-0 on the week, Bottorff herself went 3-0 in singles and 3-0 in doubles.
• Bottorff’s biggest win came against Priscila Nunez from Olivet Nazarene (Ill.) who is ranked No. 11. The senior earned a 7-5, 1-6, 7-5 victory over the ranked opponent.
• The team, anchored by Bottorff, defeated two ranked NAIA programs in No. 5 Cardinal Stritch (Wis.) and No. 17 Olivet Nazarene (Ill.), as well as earning a win over NCAA Division III program DePauw (Ind.).
• This is Bottorff’s first-career National Player of the Week honor.
