KANSAS CITY, Mo. – For the second-straight week, Myriam Hassan of William Woods (Mo.) has been named the NAIA National Women’s Golfer of the Week, the national office announced Wednesday. Hassan was selected based on her performance from April 21 - 27 and was chosen out of a pool of conference, independent and unaffiliated group winners. This is the final weekly award of the 2014 season.
Hassan, a sophomore from Newport, Wales, was the individual champion with an even-par 142 (71-71) at the American Midwest Conference Preview at Gateway National in Madison, Ill., on April 22. It was her third win on the year and she bested 20 other individual golfers at the events. She helped the Owls to a first-place team finish.
