2015 NAIA Women’s Golfer of the Week – No. 1

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Sofia Molinaro of SCAD Savannah (Ga.) has been named the NAIA National Women’s Golfer of the Week, the national office announced Wednesday. She was selected based on her performances from March 16 – 22 and was chosen out of a pool of conference, Association of Independent Institutions and unaffiliated group winners.

Jr., Treviso, Italy

• Carded a 36-hole 138 (70-68) en route to the individual medal at the Embry-Riddle Eagle Invitational March 16 – 17. The event was played out at LPGA International in Daytona Beach, Fla.
• Performance at the Embry-Riddle Eagle Invitational propelled the Bees to their first team victory of the season.
• Co-champion at the Low Country Intercollegiate in Hilton Head, S.C., March 21 – 22. Shot a 76-70—146 at the event, with her second round 70 acting as the only round under par the entire tournament.
• Ranks fourth in the NAIA in scoring average at 74.22.
