2015 NAIA Menís Tennis Player of the Week Ė No. 1 (March 25)

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Carlos Becke of Embry-Riddle (Fla.) has been named the NAIA National Men's Tennis Player of The Week, the national office announced Wednesday. He was selected based on his performances from March 16 – 22 and was chosen out of a pool of conference, Association of Independent Institutions and unaffiliated group winners.

National Tennis Player of the Week
Carlos Becke, Embry-Riddle (Fla.)
Fr., Hildesheim, Germany

• Becke was undefeated in three singles and three doubles matches on the week to lead the Eagles to a 3-0 record from March 16-18.
• The freshman took on all competitors this week, as Becke defeated the likes of NCAA Division I Connecticut (6-2, 6-2 singles; 8-6 doubles) and No. 18 Oklahoma Baptist (6-2, 6-3 singles; 8-6 doubles).
• The Hildesheim, Germany, native teamed up with Fabian Zierlyn for three wins, and registered a shutout against Warner (Fla.) (6-0, 6-0), which helped him move up to the No. 2 spot in the singles lineup.
• Earns his first Tennis Player of the Week acknowledgement.
