2015 NAIA Women's Player of the Week - No. 5 (Oct. 6)

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Kylie Porter of College of Idaho, Michi Jimenez of Lourdes (Ohio), and Kelsey Johnson of Cardinal Stritch (Wish.) have been named NAIA National Volleyball Players of the Week, the national office announced Tuesday.  These three were selected based on their performances from Sept. 29 - Oct. 6 and were chosen out of a pool of conference and Association of Independent Institution player of the week selections.

National Setter of the Week
Kelsey Johnson, Cardinal Stritch (Wis.)
Jr., S, Rockton, Ill.

·Totaled 162 assists in five games to help her team to a 4-1 week.

·Surpassed 3,000 career assists to make her the first player in program history to achieve this milestone.

·Ranked No. 3 in assists (10.7).

·This is her first career Player of the Week honor.

National Attacker of the Week
Kylie Porter, College of Idaho
Sr., MB, Boise, ID

·Finished the week with 26 kills, including a 16-kill effort in a 3-1 win over No. 8 Southern Oregon.

·Added seven blocks in two matches against Southern Oregon climbing to No. 10 in career blocks for College of Idaho.

·Hit .490 for the week and averaged 3.71 kills per set.

·This is her first career Player of the Week honor.

National Defender of the Week
Michi Jimenez, Lourdes (Ohio)
Sr., DS, Vega Baja, P.R.

·Totaled 6.7 digs per set helping her team go 3-0 last week including a win over No. 15 Madonna (Mich.).

·Tallied a .971 reception percentage with only 1 error on 35 attempts.

·Season-high 29 digs in a three-set win against Indiana Tech.

·Ranked No. 28 in digs per set (5.2 avg.).

·This is her first career Player of the Week honor.
