KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Corday Sims of Peru State (Neb.) was named NAIA Division I Men’s Basketball National Player of the Week, the national office announced on Tuesday. Sims was selected for his play during the week of Feb. 15 – 21 and was chosen out of the conference and Association of Independent Institutions award winners. The final player of the week award will be announced on March 1.

• Recorded two double-doubles to lead the Bobcats to a 2-0 week.
• Logged 33 points and ten rebounds in a 99-95 win over Grand View (Iowa) on Feb. 17.
• Shot 75 percent (6-of-8) from the 3-point line and 85 percent (6-of-7) from the free throw line en route to a 34 point and ten rebound performance againt (RV) Avila (Mo.) on Feb. 20.
• On the week, he averaged 33.5 points per game, ten rebounds per game and 2.5 assists per game.
• He ranks No. 1 in total scoring (718), No. 2 in total 3-point field goals made (99) and points per game (25.6), and No. 3 in 3-point field goals made per game (3.5).
• This is his second career national player of the week award (Jan. 12, 2016).
