KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Louis Hirst of Keiser (Fla.) has been named the NAIA National Men’s Golfer of the Week, the national office announced Wednesday. He was selected based on his performances from March 21 – 27 and was chosen out of a pool of conference, Association of Independent Institutions and unaffiliated group winners.

• Finished first out of 90 golfers overall at the Battle at Primm on March 21-22 in Las Vegas, Nev.
• Helped the Seahawks to a second-place team finish.
• Shot nine-under (69-66-72 - 207) par for the two-day three-round tournament.
• He was the leader entering the clubhouse at the conclusion of each round.
• This is his first career national player of the week award.
