KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Kelly Southwood of Auburn Montgomery (Ala.) has been named the NAIA National Women's Tennis Player of the Week, the national office announced Wednesday. She was selected based on her performances from April 18-24 and was chosen out of a pool of conference, Association of Independent Institutions and unaffiliated group winners.

• Helped team to its 11th consecutive Southern States Athletic Conference tournament championship. The Warhawks beat with wins against No. 6 Brenau (Ga.), 5-1, No. 14 William Carey (Miss.), 5-0 and Coastal Georgia, 9-0.
• Claimed victory in all matches at both No. 2 singles (3-0) and doubles (3-0).
• Holds a team best 19-2 singles record and 19-1 doubles record with partner Celine Lenertz.
• This is her first career player of the week honor.
