The Lady Pilots kept things close for nearly 12 minutes, but began to trail-off as the Campbellsville offense heated-up. The Lady Tigers went on a 17-4 run in the final five minutes, but LSU-Shreveport’s Kourtney Pennywell posted the last bucket of the half to make it a 30-17 game after 20 minutes of play.

LSU-Shreveport began to regroup after halftime. The team began the second half on a 10-4 run and eventually cut the deficit to four at 37-33 with 13:17 remaining. They kept pace with the Lady Tigers through the midway point of the half, but the top seed eventually pulled away.

Campbellsville extended its five point, 45-40 lead, to 10 in the matter of just over a minute and rolled to its 30th victory of the season.

Lindsey Burd led the Lady Tigers in the game. The 5’10” junior recorded 13 points and nine boards. Emily Fox matched Burd’s point total in the game and rounded-out the scorers in double-digits for Campbellsville.

Kourtney Pennywell did what she does best and notched her 26th double-double on the year. The local product from Shreveport, La., finished the game with 22 points and 17 rebounds.

With the win, The Lady Tigers will face the winner of No. 4-seed MidAmerica Nazarene (Mo.) and No. 5-seed Wayland Baptist (Texas) on Friday. Tip-off is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. at the Independence Event Center.
