2018 Summer Update

August 2, 2018

NAC Motion: Expansion of the Men's and Women's National Tournament from 31-32 teams to 46 teams. APPROVED
Note:
The implementation of the 46-team tournament will be delayed until the 2019 Men's & Women's Soccer season.

NAC Motion: Continue with the National Selection Committee to select and seed the National Tournament as a pilot program for both Men’s & Women’s Soccer. The policy will need to be updated and approved by the coaches’ association. APPROVED

NAC Motion: Remove the A, B, and C designations from the All-America nomination system for all sports that require an All-America nomination process to the National Office. Nominations are to be listed in rank order on the All-America form when submitting those nominations.  APPROVED

NAC Motion: Change the player of the week nomination and selection from two players (Offensive Player of the Week & Defensive Player of the Week) to three players (Offensive POW, Defensive POW, & Goalkeeper of the Week) beginning in the 2018 season. DENIED
