KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Two NAIA football member institutions face a tough challenge in 2008 with an NCAA Division I Football Championship Series (FCS) program on the schedule. St. Ambrose (Iowa) University and Culver-Stockton (Mo.) College will both take on the University of South Dakota in Vermillion, S.D., this fall.
St. Ambrose faces USD in the Coyote home-opener on Aug. 30. CSC travels to Vermillion on Sept. 20. Both NAIA schools have never played against South Dakota. USD transitioned this year into Division I and will be a member of the Great West Football Conference.
