2015 NAIA Baseball Players of the Week ? No. 6

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Kaleb Holbrook of Thomas (Ga.) has been named the NAIA National Baseball Player of the Week and David Mullins of Missouri Baptist has been named the NAIA National Baseball Pitcher of the Week, the national office announced Tuesday. Holbrook and Mullins were selected based on their performances from April 20 – 26 and were chosen out of a pool of conference, Association of Independent Institutions and unaffiliated group winners.

National Player of the Week
Kaleb Holbrook, Thomas (Ga.)
6-1, Sr., C, Dawsonville, Ga.

• Helped Thomas (Ga.) sweep Florida Memorial to clinch the sixth-and-final slot in The Sun Conference tournament with a .556 batting average (5-for-9).
• The senior catcher’s highlight performance came in the second game of the three-game series, as the Dawsonville, Ga., native hit two grand slams en route to nine RBIs. He also walked once in the contest.
• Collected 10 RBIs, two runs scored and four walks, while slugging 1.333 for the week.
• Leads the Night Hawks with 35 RBIs this season.
• Earns his first National Player of the Week award.

National Pitcher of the Week
David Mullins, Missouri Baptist
5-11, Sr., P, Ballwin, Mo.

• Threw a perfect game in Missouri Baptist’s 10-0 win against then-No. 25 William Woods (Mo.) on April 25.
• Struck out seven batters in seven innings of work.
• It was the first no-hitter since 2004 for the Spartans and the first perfect game in the recorded history of the program.
• Improved to 6-3 on the season.
• Earns his first National Player of the Week award.
