2019 NAIA Football Game of the Week No. 2

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced that the NAIA Football Game of the Week for Sept. 21 will be No. 21 Ottawa (Kan.) at RV Sterling (Kan.). The game was selected by fans across the country in an online vote.

Saturday’s game will be the 53rd meeting all-time between the two. Ottawa leads the all-time series 29-23, but Sterling leads the series on home field 15-11, giving Smisor Stadium a distinct home-field advantage. Last season, the Braves snuck-out of Sterling with a 48-47 win thanks to one final drive led by senior returning quarterback Connor Kaegi.

The Warriors enter Saturday’s game with the better overall record at 2-0, and a win could vault Sterling into the NAIA Top 25 for the first time since Sept. 10, 2018.
