KANSAS CITY, Mo. – L.J. Westbrook of Peru State (Neb.) has been named the NAIA Men’s Basketball National Player of the Week, the national office announced Tuesday. Westbrook was chosen for his performances from January 15 – 21 and was selected out of a pool conference award winners.

  • Season-high 27 points to go along with 10 rebounds and eight assists in 87-82 victory over Culver-Stockton (Mo.) on Jan. 17.
  • Weekly Stats
    • Averaged 21.0 points, 10.0 rebounds and 7.5 assists in two victories
    • Connected on 21-of-21 free throw attempts
    • His two double-doubles on the week were his first of the season
