2018-19 NAIA Division I Basketball Player of the Week (January 22, 2019)

Kansas City, Mo. – Malachi Hoosein of Vanguard (Calif.) has been named the NAIA National Men's Basketball Division I Player of the Week, the national office announced Tuesday. Hoosein was nominated for his performances during the week of Jan. 14-20 and was selected out of a pool of conference award winners.

- Moved into seventh all-time in Vanguard scoring history and became leading three-point shooter with 215 career threes.
- Weekly Stats:
- Shot over 56 percent from behind the arc in two games
- Two double-doubles with 10 rebounds in each game of the week
- Led Lions from three-point range in wins over No. 5 The Master’s (Calif.) and No. 19 Hope International (Calif.)
