KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Rodney Bartholomew of Indiana Tech has been named the NAIA National Division II Men’s Basketball Player of the Week, the national office announced Tuesday. Bartholomew was selected based on his performances from Jan. 23 – 29 and was chosen out of a pool of conference/independent/unaffiliated groups.

Bartholomew, a native of Port Sulphur, La., continues to prove himself as one of the premier forwards, finishing the week averaging a double-double with 21.0 points and 14.5 rebounds. On the season, he leads the team with 13 double-doubles, including a 20-point and 15-rebound effort in the Warriors 57-47 win against then-No. 2 Davenport (Mich.). Bartholomew finished the contest against the Panthers an efficient 6-of-8 from the field and 8-of-10 at the free throw line. He concluded the week shooting 77.8 percent (14-of-18) from the floor and 73.7 percent (14-of-19) at the charity stripe

The 6-foot-8 senior ranks amongst the top 10 nationally in offensive rebounds per game (5.3), total rebounds per game (11.9), total rebounds (261), field goal percentage (60.8 percent) and defensive rebounds per game (6.6).
