DII Men's Basketball Player of the Week - No. 6

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Brandon Beasley of William Penn (Iowa) has been tabbed the NAIA National Division II Men's Basketball Player of the Week, the national office announced Tuesday. Beasley was selected based on his performances from Feb. 4 - 10 and was chosen out of a pool of conference/independent/unaffiliated group winners.

Beasley, a 6-foot-5 senior forward from Indianapolis, Ind., extended William Penn's win streak to 12 games with a pair of double-doubles last week. Overall, he averaged 20.0 points, 16.0 rebounds, 4.5 steals, 4.0 assists and 1.5 blocks. He shot 53.6 percent (15-of-28) from the floor and 2-for-5 (.400) from 3-point range.

In the 91-48 win over AIB (Iowa) Feb. 6, Beasley finished with 12 points, 17 rebounds and three steals in 28 minutes of action. He followed that with his 10th double-double of the year, hitting for 28 points and 15 rebounds in the 96-68 win over then-No. 7 Mount Mercy (Iowa) Feb. 9 in the NAIA Game of the Week.

In national statistics, Beasley ranks eighth in steals (2.6), 16th in points (19.1) and 27th in rebounds (8.5).
