NAIA Men?s Golf National Championships Round Two Recap

SILVIS, Ill. – (Results: Team | Individual) William Woods (Mo.) remains in the lead after round two of the NAIA Men’s Golf National Championships at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Ill. The Owls shot 17-over-par 301 for the round bringing their score to 585, 17-over-par.
British Columbia made a charge as the Thunderbirds moved up five spots from No. 7 to No. 2. The Thunderbirds shot 5-over-par 289. For the tournament British Columbia has carded a 20-over-par 588 performance to trail the Owls by three shots heading into round three.
Webber International (Fla.) made the biggest splash of the second round as it moved up a round high 15 spots. The Warriors are No. 7 after shooting a round low 286, 2-over-par.
Lawren Rowe of Victoria (B.C.) sits atop the individual leaderboard as he carded a 4-under-par 67 in the second round. Rowe (73-67—140) holds a one shot lead over Oklahoma City’s Matthew Cheung (71-70—141).
British Columbia leads the tournament in par five scoring averaging 4.70 strokes. The Thunderbirds are also tied with Cumberlands (Ky.) with two made eagles.
Team tournament leaders include: Par three scoring – Oklahoma City (3.10 strokes), Par four scoring – William Woods (4.18 strokes), Pars made – Dalton State (Ga.), Birdies made – Johnson & Wales (Fla.) (29).
Individual tournament leaders include: Par three scoring – Judson Milam of USC Beaufort (S.C.) (2.63 strokes), Par four scoring – Rowe (3.86 strokes), Par five scoring – Nate Ollis of British Columbia (4.17 strokes), Pars made – Andrew Williamson of Wayland Baptist (Texas) (29), Birdies Made – Fernando Arzate of Bellevue (Neb.) (9) and Eagles made – 17 players tied with one.
