2016 NAIA Men?s Golf National Championships Round Three Recap

The Thunderbirds shot a 20-over-par 588 through the first two rounds and shot a 1-under-par 283 to take the lead. British Columbia was led by Evan Holmes (3-under-par 68) and Jack Wood (1-under-par 70). Trent Abraham shot a 1-over-par 72, Ollis 2-over-par 73 and Andrew Harrison 3-over-par 74 to close out the round for the Thunderbirds.
Oklahoma City moves up to the second spot after carding a 5-over-par 289 performance. The Stars had three guys (Rupert Kaminski, Matthew Cheung and Jett Johnson) shot a 1-over-par 71, while Anthony Marchesani and Zac Oliver posted a 2-over-par 73 round.
William Woods (Mo.) drops down to No. 3 as the Owls shot a 14-over-par 298 in the third round. Matt Wells shot a 1-over-par 72, David Houlding and Alasdair McDougal shot a 4-over-par 75 and Jack Clarkson posted a 5-over-par 76 to round out the Owls scoring. This is the first time this tournament that the Owls did not finish in the lead.
Oklahoma Wesleyan moved up nine spots to a tie for 15th-place. The Eagles carded a 4-over-par 288. Lewis-Clark State (Idaho) had the biggest fall in the field as the Warriors fell 11 spots after shooting a 29-over-par 313.
British Columbia and Oregon Tech carded the rounds lowest team scores at 1-under-par 283.
There is a three-way tie for the individual leaderboard, as David Ravetto of Texas Wesleyan (72-70-71—213), Lawren Rowe of Victoria (B.C.) (73-67-73—213) and Matthew Cheung of Oklahoma City (71-70-72—213) have carded an even-par 213 for the three rounds.
Seven individuals shot under-par – Jack Wood of British Columbia (1-under-par 70), Louis Hirst of Keiser (Fla.) (3-under-par 68), Evan Holmes of British Columbia (3-under-par 68), Tyler Swinton of Oregon Tech (4-under-par 67), Brady Richardson of Oklahoma Wesleyan (1-under-par 70), Levi Nix of Dalton State (Ga.) (2-under-par 69) and Lewis Scott of Northwestern Ohio (1-under-par 70).
