2018 NAIA Men's Soccer Players of the Week ? No. 4 (Sept. 25)

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Jonas Arcalean of Martin Methodist (Tenn.) has been named the NAIA National Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week and Julien Gregoire of Martin Methodist has been named the NAIA National Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week, the national office announced Tuesday. Arcalean and Gregoire were selected based on their performances from Sept. 17-23 and were chosen out of a pool of conference, Association of Independent Institutions and unaffiliated group winners.

Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week

Jonas Arcalean, Martin Methodist

6-1, SO, F, Vaihingen, Germany

  • Arcalean remained hot and helped guide the RedHawks to two wins this week. Against then-No. 15 Georgia Gwinnett, Arcalean bagged three goals and added one assist. The hat trick was the second in as many games for the sophomore. He added a goal and an assist in a 6-0 win at Oakland City (Ind.) on Thursday

Men’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week

Julien Gregoire, Martin Methodist

5-10, SO, GK, Deauville, France

  • Gregoire turned in one of his best performances of the season in a win vs. then-No. 15 Georgia Gwinnett on Tuesday. Notched six saves, including several point-blank chances. Followed up with five saves in a win at Oakland City on Thursday. The clean sheet was the first of the season for the RedHawks.
