Men's Indoor Track & Field Athlete of the Week #6

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Jacob Connealy of Benedictine (Kan.) has been named NAIA National Men's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week and Nathan Martin of Spring Arbor (Mich.) has been tabbed as the NAIA National Men's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week, the national office announced Wednesday. Connealy and Martin were selected based on their performances from Feb. 11 - 17.

Connealy, a sophomore from Bellevue, Neb., earned two individual conference championships in the high jump and heptathlon at the Heart of America Athletic Conference (HAAC) Championships Feb. 15 - 16. His 2.00 meters (6-6 ¾) in the high jump was a national qualifying mark and point total of 4,722 points in the heptathlon qualified him for the indoor national championships. In three events in the heptathlon, Connealy set three personal best. He was named the HAAC Indoor Track & Field MVP.

Martin, a senior from Three Rivers, Mich., won both the 5,000 and 3,000-meter runs at the National Christian College Athletic Association Championships Feb. 15 - 16. He also set two championship records with a time of 8:17.16 in the 3,000 meters and a clocking of 14:41.17 in the 5,000 meters. Martin earned the Championship Athlete of the Meet honors.
