Great Lakes Champ Enters Top 10

BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – The 2015 Great Lakes Conference Tournament Champion Cardinal Stritch (Wis.) entered this week’s 2015 NAIA Men’s Volleyball Top 10 poll, as the No. 10 ranked team.
The Wolves ran through last weekend’s Great Lakes Conference Tournament on the campus of Cincinatti Christian (Ohio) and earned the first automatic bid into the 2015 NAIA Men’s Volleyball National Invitational Tournament Championship, presented by Tachikara, on April 23-25 in St. Louis, Mo. This marks the first time since 2010 the Wolves have qualified for the national tournament.
Cardinal Stritch defeated Lourdes (Ohio) in the championship final in four sets (25-23, 25-17, 19-25, 25-23) and junior libero Patrick Ronan was named the Tournament MVP.
Spots 1-5 remained the same as last week, as No. 1 Park (Mo.), No. 2 Grand View (Iowa), No. 3 Missouri Baptist, No. 4 Clarke (Iowa) and No. 5 St. Ambrose (Iowa) all hung on to their respective spots.
Concordia (Calif.) jumped a spot to No. 6 and Lourdes (Ohio) fell to No. 7. No. 8 Warner (Fla.) and No. 9 Hope International (Calif.) kept its same positions as last week.
The NAIA South, North and National Division Conference Tournament’s will take place on Friday, April 10 and Saturday, April 11.
