Warner Vaults to No. 2 in NAIA MVB Poll

BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – For the first time this season, a team other than Grand View (Iowa) occupied the No. 2 spot in the NAIA Men’s Volleyball Top 10 poll, as Warner (Fla.) vaulted from No. 5 to No. 2 this week.

The Royals had two big games last week, with home wins over then-No. 2 Grand View in three sets (25-15, 25-17, 25-21) and then-No. 4 St. Ambrose (Iowa) (25-21, 23-25, 25-20, 25-15) to move to 21-5 on the season.

Missouri Baptist stayed at No. 1 again this week, the Spartans still haven’t lost since April of 2015.

With the Royals bumping up to No. 2, Grand View moved to No. 4, while Graceland moved to No. 3, St. Ambrose fell to No. 5.

Park University (Mo.) hung on to No. 6. The Pirates went 3-0 last week with wins over Lindenwood-Belleville (Ill.), Ottawa (Kan.) and Briar Cliff (Iowa) all in three sets.

No. 7 Lourdes (Ohio) jumped in front of No. 8 Clarke (Iowa). The Gray Wolves continued its winning ways with its seven-match winning streak. They went 5-0 last week, including a three set win over then-No. 7 Clarke (28-26, 25-12, 28-26).

No. 9 Robert Morris (Ill.) and No. 10 Hope International (Calif.) hung on to their same spots as a week ago.
