Mustang Setter Matthew Hamm's 82 Assists for The Master's (Calif.) Good for NAIA Setting Weekly Award

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Senior setter Matthew Hamm led The Master's (Calif.) to a pair of wins over Vanguard University last week, earning NAIA Setter of the Week for Feb. 24 on 82 kills, adding 12 digs and a block in a 2-0 week for the Mustangs.

Hamm, from Fresno, Calif., started with 40 assists, 13.33 per set, in the week's first win over Vanguard, adding four digs in the three-set triumph. 

He tacked on 42 more assists in Saturday's win, a four-set victory, with eight digs. 

His 11.71 assists per set for the week moved his season average to 10.57, third-best among NAIA setters. 

The Mustangs are back in action Thursday and Friday, this week, hosting Westcliff (Calif.) and SOKA (Calif.) in Santa Clarita.
