KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Ethan Bunce of Marian (Ind.) has been named the NAIA National Wrestler of the Week, announced Wednesday by the national office. He was chosen based on his performances from January 15 – 21.

• Bunce helped the Knights to a 13th place finish out of 35 schools at the Missouri Valley Invitational last weekend.
• The sophomore, who is unranked at 285 pounds, went 6-2 at the event en route to a 5th place finish, including four wins over grapplers ranked in the top 10 nationally.
• Bunce’s weekend was highlighted by pinning then-No. 3 Javier Gonzalez of Menlo (Calif.) twice. He also had notable victories over then-No. 7 Cooper Thomas of Grand View (Iowa) (fall) and then-No. 6 Bryson McGowan of Oklahoma City (11-2).
