Lubbock Christian (Texas) moves up to No. 1 in NAIA Softball Rating

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Lubbock Christian (Texas) earned eight of the possible 13 first place votes and climbed three spots to No. 1 in the second National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) softball ratings.  The Chaparrals earned 318 total points to edge California Baptist by three points for the top spot.  The Lancers received four first place votes and earned 315 total points.

 

Point Loma (Calif.) dropped a spot to No. 3 with 298 points while Mobile (Ala.) moved up to No. 4 with one first place vote and 286 total points.  Savannah College of Art and Design (Ga.) stayed at No. 5 with 274 points.

 

Morningside (Iowa) and Faulkner (Ala.) made their debut in the top-25 at No. 23 and No. 24 respectively.

 

The third regular season poll will be released on Wednesday, April 2.
