Mandy Brown of MidAmerica Nazarene (Kan.) Tossed a Pair of Gems to Earn Pitcher of the Week Honors
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Mandy Brown of MidAmerica Nazarene (Kan.) tossed two complete games last week with a 0.50 ERA, picking up NAIA Pitcher of the Week Honors.
Brown tossed back-to-back complete games for the Pioneers last week, allowing just one earned run and three runs total over 14 innings pitched. While she walked four batters, she also sent 20 batters back to the dugout via strikeouts, averaging 10 per seven innings. Sporting a 0.50 ERA and a .86 WHIP, Brown was locked in, helping MNU to a 5-2 win against Friends (Kan.) and a 4-1 victory against Cottey (Mo.).
Brown and MNU are back on the diamond on Feb. 27 in Shawnee, Kan., against Oklahoma Wesleyan and Briar Cliff (Iowa). First pitch against OKWU is set for 12:30 p.m. CT, while the game against BCU is set for 3 p.m. CT.
