NAIA Division II Women's Basketball Player of the Week - No. 8 (Jan. 31)

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Imani White of Saint Mary (Kan.) has been named the NAIA Division II Women’s Basketball National Player of the Week, the national office announced on Tuesday. White was selected for her performance during the week of Jan. 23 – 29 and was chosen out of the conference and Association of Independent Institutions award winners.

Imani White, Saint Mary (Kan.)
5-9, Sr., G, Omaha, Neb.       

• During a career week, White recorded a personal-high 32 points twice, with a career-high six blocks in a Saint Mary win over Sterling (Kan.).
• In the Sterling game, the Spires rallied back from 16 points down in the third quarter, led by White’s career-highs and 12 rebounds.
• At No. 18 Tabor (Kan.), White helped lead another comeback for Saint Mary with her second 32-point effort of the week, along with eight rebounds and one block.
• White averaged a double-double for the week (32 points and 10 rebounds per game) and blocked seven shots while forcing three steals.
• Ranks No. 33 in the NAIA in both blocks per game (1.4) and total blocks (30).
• This is White’s first career National Player of the Week award.
