Women?s Golfer of the Week ? No. 4

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Jodie Peacock of William Woods (Mo.) has been named NAIA National Women’s Golfer of the Week, the national office announced Wednesday. Peacock was selected based on her performances from April 1– 7 and was chosen out of a pool of conference/independent/unaffiliated group golfer of the week selections.

Peacock, a freshman from Nottinghamshire, England, finished first in the Owls Spring Invitational on April 1-2 and followed that with a runner-up finish at NCAA Division III Washington University (Mo.) Spring Invitational, April 6-7.

In the Owls Spring Invitational at Tanglewood Golf Course, Peacock defeated 54 golfers and led the Owls to a first place team finish. In the final round, she scored a 2-under 70, which was a tournament record. For the event she shot 2-over (76-70 – 146), claiming her second victory of the season.

Peacock finished the week with a second place finish at the Washington Spring Invitational at Gateway National Golf Course. She recorded rounds of 76-78 – 154, finishing one stroke behind the winner. Peacock helped guide the Owls to its second-straight team victory.

The next Women’s Golfer of the Week will be announced on April 17.
