KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Micaela Johansson of Northwood (Fla.) has been named the NAIA National Women’s Golfer of the Week, the national office announced Wednesday. Johansson was selected based on her performance from March 24 – 30 and was chosen out of a pool of conference, independent and unaffiliated group winners.

Johansson, a sophomore from Sweden, topped the individual leader board with a 146 (77-69) at the Battle at the Primm on March 26 in Primm, Nev. She placed first among a field of 56 golfers. After shooting the 77, she rebounded with a three-under 69 in round two to help the Lady Seahawks capture the team title. The 69 score was her season-low in 13 rounds played.
