2017 NAIA Women’s Golfer of the Week ? No. 5 (April 19)

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Wiebke Schlender of Indiana Tech has been named the NAIA National Women’s Golfer of the Week, the national office announced Wednesday. Schledner was selected based on her performances from April 10 – 16 and was chosen out of a pool of conference, Association of Independent Institutions and unaffiliated group winners.

• Schlender’s two-round score of 69-73—142 (-2) helped lead the Warriors to a first-place team finish as she earned individual medalist honors at the Kathy Niepagen Spring Fling in Normal, Ill..
• Her 36-hole, 142 score tied the Indiana Tech program record while she set the lowest first-round score in program history 69 (-3).
• Schlender’s score helped the team tie the school records for a round (300, first round) and 36-holes (609) while winning their fourth tournament of the season.
