NAIA Women?s Soccer Players of the Week ? No. 7 (Oct. 21)

KANSAS CITY, MO. – Julia Schojan of Fisher (Mass.) and Mackenzie Anderson of Central Baptist (Ark.) were named NAIA Women’s Soccer National Players of the Week, the national office announced Tuesday. Schojan and Anderson were selected for their play during the week of Oct. 13-19 and were chosen out of the conference and independent award winners.
National Offensive Player of the Week
Julia Schojan, Fisher (Mass.)
Freshman, Forward, Rochester, N.Y.
• Schojan was unstoppable last week, scoring 11 goals in four games and leading Fisher (Mass.) to a perfect 4-0 record.
• Became the second player this year to net six goals in a game, doing so in a 7-0 victory over NCAA Division III Wheelock (Mass.) on Oct. 16.
• Guided the Falcons’ offensive attack with 25 points.
• This is her first NAIA National Player of the Week honor.
National Defensive Player of the Week
Mackenzie Anderson, Central Baptist (Ark.)
Freshman, Goalkeeper, Cleburne, Texas
• Anderson blocked everything that came her way on Oct. 18, tallying 20 saves in a 1-0 overtime win over York (Neb.).
• She logged 92 minutes in the contest without allowing a goal.
• In 11 games played on the year, the Cleburne, Texas, native has three shutouts.
• This is Anderson’s first NAIA National Player of the Week honor.
