2015-16 NAIA Women?s Swimming & Diving Coaches? Poll ? No. 1 (Dec. 10)

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – SCAD Savannah (Ga.) takes over the No. 1 ranking in the 2015-16 Women’s Swimming & Diving Coaches’ Poll, the national office announced Thursday. This is the first No. 1 ranking for the Bees since Feb. 22 of the 2012-13 season.

Top 25 Highlights (historical information dates back to 2002-03):
• SCAD Savannah grabbed four-out-of-the-five first place votes and 63 total points this week. The Bees most recent meet held at home in Savannah (Ga.) at the SCAD Invite, resulted in a first place victory out of nine teams the Bees swam against. 
• SCAD Savannah's Hannah Legg earned four top-five finishes throughout the meet including: first place in the 200 butterfly, runner-up in the 100 butterfuly, fourth in 200 back and fifth in the 100 back. Kandes Soapes also earned a top time in the 100 back with a time of 54.42.
• Brenau (Ga.) comes in at No. 2.  The Golden Tiger's received one first place vote and 57 total points. The team placed third at the SCAD Invite (947.5 points) with help from four swimmers who all set new NAIA national qualifying times in their respecitve races. 
• The rest of the top five includes: No. 3 Cumberlands (Ky.) (49 points) and No. 5 Olivet Nazarene (Ill.) (46 points).

Poll Methodology
• Top 10 team ratings will be recommended to the NAIA Sports Information Department by a Presidential committee.
• Top 10 team ratings are conducted by a committee of NAIA Swimming and Diving coaches three times during the season.
• The committee will use the most current “top times” as the primary source of ranking.
